I think this weekend will be the last days of summer. I'm sure, being that we live in the hellish bit of the south, that there will be plenty more hot days - but not the muggy, buggy hot like summer.
I spent the day lazying in a chair in the sun -- watching dragon flies chase each other and skim the over grown grass. Later, as the heat of the day finally gives up, birds by the dozens take the opportunity to feast on the bugs. It's all quite idyllic - until you get a splat of goop on your forehead.
