Remember the lady I once referred to as the phone answering lady? I know I've mentioned her before.

Today, she emailed me a story of her young one. She thought I'd find it especially cute. She says that her child's new favorite thing is to make declarations about when she's grown up.

Last night, the young one announced "when I grow up, I'm going to have all new monkeys."

It is cute. Especially since there didn't seem to be any context.

However, I want to know why exactly the phone answering lady thought I of all "people" would find it particularly amusing. I suspect she suspects something. I've met the child once - maybe what they say about children seeing what adults can't is truer than you'd think?
