Would rather have a rat cook my dinner

That is, if it's the rat in that cooking rat movie. Which I saw today. Which I liked. I will have to watch it a few more times to really pick up on the food of the movie. The story line isn't that difficult - the age old "to thine ownself be true" line --- but, some very creative moments. At the beginning of the movie - the rat describes how he tastes food -- which I totally related to -- and later in the movie, he tries to show his brother what he experiences from tastes, and his brother totally doesn't get it. That's me and the Phenom in a nutshell.

But, the title of this post really refers to a piece I heard on NPR news this evening. A couple has started traveling about, striking up conversations with complete strangers in restaurants, and asking if they can try the food the stranger is eating.

Now think for a moment, if a complete stranger approached you in a friendly manner, complimented your excellent taste in ordering food, and then asked to taste it themselves; Would you let them?

They say that the majority of people they've asked have shared their foods - with a few needing a bit of prodding before giving in.

But that's not the worst of it . . . . they say that a great number of the people who allow the sharing will offer the fork they themselves have eaten from and then continue to eat from.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKk!!!!!!!!! Holy Hamster Dance Bat Man!!!! HAVEN'T YOU HEARD OF GERMS!!!!???????

I was nearly sick in the car as I listened. If you need to lose your dinner too, click on the title for the link. But, remember, I warned you.

sharing forks with strangers, indeed. I don't even like to touch door handles others have touched.
