He came in from the rain - wearing a bright yellow rain coat and baseball cap. He had a bag with three bottles of wine. We always allow strangers bearing bottles of wine in the house.
But, once he shed the rain gear, I saw it was my graduate student!!
Apparently, he was on some sort of top secret sort of mission to the east coast and decided to look up a few folks on the way home. Kinda taking the long way home to bring me wine - but hey - this is progress -- wine wasn't allowed in the lab.
So, we drank the better part of a bottle of wine, chatted politely - avoiding any references to the "mission" and shared a meal. He's now passed out in my back room and I plan to take incriminating photos later. heh.
