Turning a blind eye

I'm depressed. The news these days depresses me. I have developed yet another strain of the "death disease." And, I need distraction.

I thought about posting about the nut UCLA grad who is violating intellectual privacy laws and jumping up and down on the first amendment to exact revenge upon his alma mater. But, in all honesty - ya'll know what I'm going to say already.

Why did sparkle have to give up the lifestyle? I need her special brand of distraction.

I did get a laugh out of some of the great one-liners from the Paris Hilton lawsuit. I laughed out loud, but resisted the urge to email the attachment to all my friends and relations a publication that has gone from referring to her as a "celebrutant" to "celebutard." I think the old woman would shake a finger at me for laughing at Ms. Hilton rather than with her.

I wonder what Sparkle did with her massive "show" wardrobe? I wonder if I could find appropriate distraction in coaxing her to auction it all off for some charity that doesn't really do any good for human kind?

What might make me really happy is if people started using the word "celebutard" in casual conversation. I have a historian friend who uses the word "motard" (a combination of moron and retard) frequently. Feel free to use that word too.

I wonder how many cough drops you need to eat to get high from them?
