The Great Adventure

I was one of those billions and billions of people who got up earlier to watch the royal wedding. I was only recently with the Old Folks when Charles and Diana married.

I've been with the Phenom many many years now. We have a easy, comfortable routine and existence. We rarely argue. We are respectful, playful, and appreciative of each other.

However, I still think it's not a bad idea to attend a wedding every once in a while. Listening to the vows, the readings, the admonishments offered to the young couple is a nice reminder to "old marrieds" of why we're doing this thing in the first place.

There is hopefulness in a wedding. I like the way it infects the observers as well as the center couple. In a world where so many marriages break, it's nice to have a reminder that marriage, like life, is an adventure.
