Eavesdropping

This afternoon was spent soaking up rays, watching tennis, and listening into two young men talking. It was fascinating to listen to their conversation.

They puzzled over the behavior of girls (and how mean they are to each other), they discussed cultural differences between their own upbringings and other countries, and pondered over the sports performances of their friends.

However, the most amusing part of their conversation came when one of them noted the "generation gap" between their ages of early 20s and today's 15 year olds.

And, the quote of the afternoon is from their discussion of the drinking age: "it's not like you turn 21 and are suddenly smarter."
