Rich

This morning, on the business report, they said that a good number of millionaires in the US don't "feel rich." They went on to explain that these not feeling rich millionaires believe it would take 7.5 million dollars for them to "feel rich."

I'll wait for you to curse and mutter unsavory things under your breath.

I immediately countered (in my brain, talking aloud to yourself is frowned upon) that I know I'm rich.

I have cabinets/a fridge full of food. I have enough money that I could buy or do more or less anything I wanted to do on any given day. I can be generous with others without having to cut back somewhere else. I own the roof over my head and the car I drive.

But, more importantly, I laugh a lot in my life. I know that whatever dramas may crop up, I have the strengths and support system to sustain. I am rewarded by the work I do. And, I have more people in my life who love me than I can count. I'm rich, indeed.
