A traditionalist

I know I'm a big ol' dork. You know how you know I'm a big ol' dork? I love to vote. I don't early vote . . . I like the ritual of appearing at my local armory to vote. Every time I go, I run into friends and neighbors I don't see often enough.

I always make sure I get a "I Voted" sticker and wear it all day (peer pressure). I make sure my workers have plenty of time to go vote too. (I even threatened to go "all Curious George" on one worker who seemed less than enthusiastic about voting.)

What I hate are people who chase after me and scream at me as I try to enter the polls. I intentionally parked away from you and took a route to the door so that I would not cross your path. Don't harass me in the name of your candidate.

Remember . . . the national campaigns get lots of media coverage . . . but who you elect your sheriff, your city councilpeoples, and judges has more influence on your day to day quality of life.

And, if you are a candidate . . . hows about picking up all those ass-ugly yard signs you've been littering my town with these past few weeks?
