Perfect Audience

I finally have found my perfect audience. The Old Woman. Due to recent events, and getting old, she has a bit of short term memory loss. She asks the same questions over and over again. She has difficulty keeping information in mind. It actually wears everyone, including her, out. I got a glimpse from time to time that she was aware of it, and frustrated by it. The only real way to handle it is patience and finding what humor you can.

One day, during my visit, I wore this t-shirt:



The Old Woman would stop, read it, giggle. Over and over and over. It brought her pleasure and me pleasure. And, I realized, given my propensity to repeat myself, I finally had found my perfect audience.
