Why He's BOLD

This is Oscar the Bold. That is his actual name. When he was a wee kitten, he decided he liked his odds with us rather than staying out doors. A bold choice.

Last night, I was reminded of why he's bold.

Yesterday, during the nightly session to wear out the dog, I allowed the dog to come inside briefly. The dog loves, loves, LURVES the couch. He loves rolling on it and sitting on it and pretending he rules it. Then, he jumped down to explore. This is when Oscar the Bold sprang into action. He crab walked, all puffed up, the dog down the hall. When the dog tried to come out of the hall, Oscar the Bold blocked his path and pursued him. He chased the dog into the bathroom.

I finally had to chase Oscar out of the hallway so the dog could make a beeline for the door. Once the dog was back outside, Oscar the Bold jumped up on the couch and, with a most contented look on his face, proceeded to groom his paws. And, now the dog doesn't want to come inside anymore.
