Several months ago, I heard on the radio that an estimated 8 million Americans believe that they have been abducted and molested by aliens. I'm not sure how the number was arrived at . . . I imagine it had something to do with creative mathing. But, apparently, believing that you have been abducted and molested by aliens is a particularly American phenomena.
Apparently, if you are a grass farmer in Africa . . . aliens aren't really high on your list of stuff to fear.
Today, I read that the VATICAN has said that belief in aliens is NOT contrary to the tenets of catholic faith.
Anyone else cynical to see the next logical pronouncement from the church?

Amusing that this follows your own story of abduction. Is there some subtext here?
