I'm listening to the Splendid Table podcast . . . and loving that two women and a man are discussing pies . . . and quip that the crust didn't taste like it was made with lard (go ask your grandmother . . . lard does make the best pie crust) and one of the commenters quietly said, with a little disappointment in her voice "I think they were crisco."
Only a true food nerd would like that comment.
Library ghost: I will have to put that place on my list of places I must visit some day . . . I do love to travel on my stomach.
Mr. Lady . . . You live in the south? arrangements could be made . . . just last night, as we were dishing up dinner, I told the Phenom that there was plenty more for seconds/thirds/fourths. And, the Phenom said "there is always plenty more, that's one of the best things about our house." I wouldn't have been happier if I'd been told I was beautiful.

I made cherry pies this week with cherries picked straight from the tree in my yard....traa laaa laaa.
If you lived next door to me, I would meet you at the picket fence with a warm pie. Would make me ever so happy.....
