This morning, while tooling to work . . . windows down, trying to tan my left arm a bit more than my right for the conversation starter that will be . . . I heard an interview with some local who was describing the Autism Awareness activity happening in the vicinity this weekend. And, I honestly don't remember anything he said because he was southern. And, for some reason, the vast majority of southern men sound stupid or gay. This guy fell into the gay side of the spectrum.
Why is that? Is this why southern women have to be so strong and ballsy? Because, at least on the surface, southern men appear to be inadequate to the task of living?
British men seem to suffer the same fate.

Roy Blount, Jr. comes to mind as a Southern man who sounds neither stupid nor gay. Maybe you're just not looking in the right places. Or maybe this is a subjective thing. Nah....
that sad part is that the guys know it - I dated a southerner once and he was such an over-compensator: he always corrected my grammar and it pissed me off!
in other news, super-B, I had a dream about you (or really your blog) I logged on one day after I'd been off-line for a while, and you had become an uber-celebrity-blogger! you had even written a book! haha!
