Vivid

I have the most vivid dreams. And, I can have a dream even when I don't even feel like I'm getting good sleep. This afternoon, I fell asleep on the couch. The cat was pestering me for an afternoon snack. I didn't think I actually slept. But, then I found my self peeking outside to see if the street had been repaved. I dreamed that as soon as I pulled my car in to the drive, the city set up cones to prevent me from pulling out -- and that they were spraying tar on the road in preparation for pavement. I remember telling Phenom to go move the car out of the street so it didn't get tar on it.

I also have vivid dreams about doing violence. I find it incredibly difficult to understand why such a peace loving monkey could have such violent dreams. But, fairly regularly I dream of trying to run the Phenom down with a pitch fork.

But not all dreams are violent. I also have just bizarre dreams. Once, when living with the old people, they tried to treat a monkey cold with human drugs. I remember the dreams the drugs brought on to this day. I remember being asleep and being aware that I could not wake up. I dreamed that zombies were in a house where I was caring for several wheelchair bound people. I remember dreaming of trying to save the people from the zombies.

I also know that if I watch scary or violent stuff on television right before going to bed, I will incorporate the scary images into my dreams.

Do people dream like this too? Or, is this my monkey brain's way of reconciling all the many messages I get from the human world?

I've never had a bad dream after picking bugs from the hair/fur of my beloved. And, who wouldn't be all happy and content after a meal of bananas? Makes total sense to me.
