Office xmas party

Tonight was the "office christmas party" for the phenom. Most of the cast was present - with spouses - and many with children. The flavor of the party has changed as the cast has changed and expanded. At one time, no one had children. There were children ranging in age from 4-12 -- and two infants. I spent most of the evening holding one of the infants. It was a good baby - and smiled and baby-flirted with everyone.

I always find these gatherings so interesting. For the most part, it's a gathering of people who would not otherwise socialize. And, the spouses rarely see each other. So, there are somewhat ackward conversations interspersed with "shop talk." There is one couple who are both cast members - and the female of the couple is rather dismissive of spouses. It's very strange indeed.

However, we do put on an impressive spread of food. I made collard greens and mac and cheese. One of the spouses made green chicken enchiladas. I ate more of them instead of dessert. I must have that recipe. Really, MUST.
