Tonight, I saw The Daily Show on Comedy Central. I rarely get a chance to see this show simply because my time is usually otherwise occupied. But, tonight, I was sitting around and waiting on a phone call that never came. The guest on The Daily Show was Anderson Cooper, of CNN fame. Jon Stewart more or less reduced this "star journalist" into a giggling school girl. And, it wasn't a pretty sort of giggle.
I'm sure that his intentions are good. I have a hard time figuring out which news personalities are actual journalists and which are eye candy who can read. Anderson didn't do much to make a case for himself as a serious journalist. Maybe that's why I like Jon Stewart - because his mirror is crystal clean and he doesn't take himself too seriously.
In other news, I need to search the ol' web to find out if you can, indeed, freeze a goldfish and not kill it. I seem to recall such a factoid from some random educational adventure. But, now that my friend McSmelly is stuck with a oddly stinky goldfish while the child is away at camp, I suggested that she not worry about cleaning the bowl but freeze it until camp is over and then thaw it out and no one would be the wiser. I hope I remember this correctly - I'd hate to be the force behind a needless goldfish slaughter. PETA might hate me.

According to Goldfish World onliine, putting the fish in the freezer is actually considered a humane way of killing it. I have way too much time on my hands!
I saw the Goldfish World Online recommendation about killing it. I also read that fish can live in a pond if it freezes over but not solid. So, now I'm wondering if you could refrigerate the bugger and just slow it down a bit. Kinda induce hibernation?
