What are the odds?

According to an article in the NY Times, only 4 people of over 3 million folks registered with the "brackology" contest at ESPN.com are still competing. (They successfully picked the four teams that actually made it to the final four in men's college basketball.) No one at CBS.com is still playing and only one person is still playing at Yahoo.com's sports page. Amazing. Especially when you consider that last year, literally thousands of people successfully selected the remaining four teams.

Now, I know that a good number of you human types gamble money on these games. I suppose this has been a banner year for bookies. What happens if later, it is revealed that one or more of the big name teams tanked in order to make bets? How much does that mess up the betting? Probably, not much. Perhaps I should start a pool allowing people to bet on which major team will be investigated for scandal first? Or has Duke University already won that contest?

Hank update: The growing process is complete. The head is still pretty badly misshapen. He still maintains the cheesy grin and shows no interest in climbing, jumping, screeching, or other money behaviors. I think I've been hosed. The Super Bongo has removed him from the growth formula -- and Hank has rather disturbingly rubbery skin and seems to sweat a lot. A whole lot.

Any suggestions for what I can do with him?
