Later this week, American humans are going to be celebrating a holiday called "Thanksgiving." More or less, this is a sort of annual harvest celebration. Winter time has arrived, the crops have been gathered, and we need one last get together before we all bundle up for the long winter. More or less, it appears to be a reason to eat a tremendous amount of food, see family and friends, and watch sports on television.
There is some moment of reflection which seems appropriate as well. Many people take this time to list the things in their lives they are thankful for having. I thought I'd give this bit of reflection a twirl, see how it feels.
I'm thankful for . . . .
family -- the people who taught me, the people who love me, the people who have sheltered and protected me.
friends -- the chick, the Phenom, WS Random, and many many others. One evil handler once told me that I'd never be loved. I delight in knowing that I am loved by more people/critters than I can count.
The internet -- how else would I have this marvelous outlet for shopping, (it is difficult to find clothing that fits my, um, unique physique) and stroking my ego through this blog and my other subversive activities? Plus, it feeds my gossip habit.
music -- monkeys respond particularly well to music. A couple of years ago, The Phenom gave me a marvelous invention - an iPod. It is with out a doubt, my favorite toy.
Underwear - 'nuff said
I invite folks to add what they are thankful for -- except the moron who keeps suggesting I check out the "big booty thong" site. Collective shudder, everyone.
