This post snuck up on me. I didn't intentionally plan for the 1,000 post to land on inauguration day. I've got really nothing deep or profound to say. I spent the day in my jammies (because of SNOW . . . in the SOUTH) watching way too much tv. I also got to take to pooch out in the snow, which he loves. Pretty much, that's it.
As for 1,000 posts. I've learned more about myself since I started this blog in the summer of 2005. When I started this blog it was to blow off steam from bitterness and angst. The reasons for the bitterness and angst have disappeared, been replaced with new reasons, and disappeared again.
I've grown closer to some of my friends . . . partly because of this blog. I've made new friends too. I've had a creative outlet, and outlet for the political feelings and thoughts I felt I couldn't express openly, and I've been able to be silly. And, more or less for free.
I know this is all just a step of the journey. But, I'm feeling pretty optimistic right now. It's a nice change from feeling frightened and bitter.
