So, the McCain campaign is still beating the dead horse of Bill Ayers' past. I've read about him . . . and his misdeeds, he current activities, and his own words about his past. He acknowledges that the group he helped found "went off track" in their endeavors. And, although he has not completely disavowed his past actions . . . his years of service to the public in the field of education should allow for some karmic balance.
But, apparently, ideals from 40 years ago should still be fodder for current debate, in the eyes of the McCain campaign. So, should we talk about how McCain was pro-choice until, oh say, the current campaign? Or should we reopen the issues surrounding McCain's adulterous affairs? Or his current gambling habits?
Interesting how McCain doesn't want to focus on his own behavior and past, and the only thing he can dig up about Obama is the past of someone Obama knows. Speaks volumes, eh?
