My favorite NY Times Columnist is Bob Herbert. You can click on the title for his latest column.
He is absolutely right . . . the media surrounding Sarah Palin is a distraction from the real issues. Abortion is not the issue that is going to make or break our society. Gay marriage is not the issue that is going to bring about the downfall of human kind. And, the fact that Sarah Palin brings lady parts to the campaign . . . or that she has a preggo child . . . or an infant with special needs are all destractions. Our debate about these issues isn't going to make it any easier for mortgages to be paid or medicines to be obtained or insure that we don't choke to death future generations or bring about peace and understanding between the nations.

The video footage you posted above it is nicely placed, too. At least there, she surely doesn't seem ready to face the issues that must be faced.

I have always been annoyed that these issues end up deciding elections when honestly, they probably affect less than 15 % of the population. They're important, but not what's on most people's minds. I guess they're the 'sexy' issues, huh?
BTW, the only thing Sarah has going for her (as far as I'm concerned) is being a special needs parent. And that, my friend, is still not enough to make me vote for her.
