The most inconsiderate monkey in the world

That's me.

I went off on my weekly shop. I happened to run into an old friend I don't see much. We stopped and caught up on all the details of our lives. It was a good conversation. But, it meant the weekly shop that usually takes just an hour was over three hours.

Also, since I've still not wholly recovered from my drunken ways from earlier in the weekend, I was still carrying the utter minimum with me. As in just my wallet. No pager. No phone. No blackberry. Just a wallet.

When I arrived home I discovered the Phenom's tennis gear by the door but no Phenom. I unloaded and put away the groceries. As I was nearly finished the Phenom returned. Hot and steamed. Apparently, because I was gone so long and didn't have any sort of communication device on me, the Phenom decided I was road kill and went out looking for me. Also, the Phenom decided after I left for the shop that it was the perfect afternoon for tennis. I thought the Phenom was spending the afternoon brushing up on material for Monday's performance. I didn't know about the recreational ideas.

But, I did happen to notice the irony of the Phenom, a confirmed luddite, yelling at me for not keeping my cell on me at all times. Irony, baby. That's what makes the world go round. You might think it's gravitational pull - but nope. Irony.
