The Master of My Domain

yeah, right.

Several months ago, the printer at work started leaving dirty trails down the left side of pages. Then, about a month ago, it decided that it would no longer participate in any commie activities and stopped printing all forms of red. This week, the black ink decided rationing was in order and would only print partially.

I whispered to it sweetly. I threatened it. I turned it off and on. I unplugged and replugged. I replaced ink cartridges. I did everything short of blowing it. OOOPS, that's not true -- I borrowed one of those compressed air, electronic cleaning things from a friend - so I guess it got a blow job too.

And the damned, ungrateful thing quit on me today. Jerk.

But, I showed it - I found a replacement printer for less than the cost of a ink cartridge. HA!

The new machine is much easier to figure out. It has a pc/fax function. Of course, I've not yet figured out how to actually fax anything. But, someday, by accident, I'll fax the secret recipe for turning coal into gold to my whole emailing list, and then, I'll be so proud to once again, be master of my domain.
