Tonight we watched the movie Elf on one of the movie channels. I know this movie was somewhat popular at one time and the movie rental place had way way to many copies of it when it was new to DVD. But, for some reason, I always resisted ordering it from netflix or picking it up at the video rental place.
Now I know why. I mean - it's a silly movie. It is a perfectly fine movie for killing an evening while cuddled up on the couch and trying to forget a trying day at work. But, it was just a little TOO much for our house hold.
Now, the Phenom is convinced that I'm not actually a monkey - but rather an elf. There were way too many behavioral similarities between me and the main character. Damn it. Isn't it hard enough to pass as human?
For the record - I am not an elf. Even if I do like smiling a lot and raise my hand to speak and like burping. Lots of people and critters do those things -- I am not an elf. Really.
