Ya'll know, I've been huffing new car smell for the last week now. I just can't get enough of that groovy air. But, it clearly has been effecting me for the worse.
Despite my renegade demeanor and reputation, I actually pride myself on my powers of observation, my ability to read, and follow directions.
Today, in an effort to see if the big, huge contract we'd bid for had been awarded, I went to the company's web site to scout around. I found a press release concerning recent partnerships. I clicked and skimmed to the part where there was a link to partnering businesses. I scanned the list and was nearly moved to tears to see that my organization was not listed. I called the home office to report my finding - when in the midst of leaving a sad little voicemail, I scan up to see that the date of the press release had a 2005 date.
I won't say that laughter through tears is one of my favorites, but I'll take it today.
