McSmelly informed me today that she has scheduled the birth spasm to begin early Thursday Morn. Amazing - that you humans can schedule the course of nature. She tells me that it is going to be a girl. She didn't say what species she's having -- I hope it's a monkey so I'll have a new playmate.
To "help" with the acquiring of a new critter, I have been making extra of the food I cook and packaging it up for freezing and passing it along. The Phenom complains that I constantly cook as if I expect the Red Army to arrive and want dinner. Finally, those tendencies are paying off.
Tonight, I made a big batch of chicken cacciatore. The Phenom even kinda liked it.
