One of the blogs I read on a regular basis is called "This Fish" and is written by a youngish woman about her life in NY City. The author is well educated, funny, has good insights, and interesting. Her blog is a good mix of stories about herself as well as people she knows. She has several entries that are so beautifully written that you will find yourself brushing a tear away and reaching for the phone to call an old friend or beloved relative. I've read other bloggers refer to her writings as prose poetry.
Well, apparently, there has been a spate of people across the globe stealing her writings and posting them on their personal blogs as if they authored the pieces. I can't even begin to wrap my brain around why a person would post another person's personal stories and claim them as their own. The particular piece which seems to be stolen the most often is one in which the author describes seeing her younger sister born and the deep love that she has always felt for her sister as a result. One thief tried to change the gender of the sibling to a "brother" but then forgot to change all the gender specific pronouns. WHAT A MORON.
Fortunately, This Fish writes for a web site that has attorneys on the side of right. Also, it seems that other bloggers in the "blogging community" have taken the whole "public shaming" thing to a new level and have flooded the thieves' comment sections with a call out.
Just as reading about bloggers being "dooced" and people printing way too much information about their sex lives taught me to be cautious about using real names or describing situations with too much detail, this situation has me investigating finding some cheap and easy way to copy write my blog. Imagine - a human stealing the experiences and thoughts of a monkey. It would be too ironic if such a person were one of those folks who can't stand the thought that ya'll evolved from us. heh.
A monkey can dream.

I found the blog "This fish needs a bicycle". What is the name of the post about her sister being born?
