Summer Hiatus!

The Phenom's performance schedule has finally reached summer hiatus. There is a job the Phenom would like to get to fill time. I'll post the picture tomorrow.

But, for now, I thought I'd share the margarita recipe. I've already made two batches of margaritas in celebration of the hiatus. I know, the long time, loyal readers will recognize the recipe because I've posted it before. But, I ask you, can you ever have too many margaritas?

Write this down. Learn it. Know it. Live it.

3 cups sugar
3 cups water

combine in saucepan over med/high heat -- stir until the syrup is clear again. Remove from heat and set aside.

In a gallon sized, freezer-safe container, mix:

2 cups lemon juice
2 cups lime juice
2 cups tequila
1 cup triple sec (or grand marnier)

Add in the sugar syrup. Stir, taste. Freeze for 24 hours. Stir it up to break up ice crystals.

I have recently discovered Cuervo Black Medallion Label Tequila. It's very smooth. very. If you use the grand marnier, the margaritas will be a bit sweeter -- but very pleasant.

Trust the Super Bongo -- you will be invited to lots o'parties when people know to ask you to bring these tasty treats with you.
