I tried to encourage the now subdued Sparkle to wear tasteful earrings to the first day back from the winter break. At first, s/he seemed receptive to the idea - but then I blew it by getting ahead of myself and predicting a return to fullblown drag within a few months. When will I learn to pace myself and be patient. Must work on that if I want the master plan to work.
Today, I had a long conversation with a long lost -- Big Game. Apparently, Big Game has been having a rough time of it lately - and needed time to regroup and refocus. But, it appears that Big Game is back and more or less unchanged - at least on the surface. One of the more interesting mysteries surrounding Big Game is the frequency with which he is exposed to the nudity of others while remaining fully clothed himself. Monkey nakedness is a fact of life. Human nakedness is something of an event. I, myself, have never attended a party when a number of the guests got naked. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or Big Game is doing right. Then again, it would seem that the appropriate question is, why, after seeing so many others get naked, has Big Game kept his clothes on? Could it be that he isn't entirely human?
It was brought to my attention today that one of my dearest friends has the same name as someone I find most annoying. What is most amazing is that I never realized the similarity before -- since I think of the two in entirely different ways. How horrible to find out you have such an eerie similarity to someone so unappealing. I guess it could be worse - you could have Tom Cruise jumping up and down on your couch.
The Phenom has developed a new strain of the death disease -- GOP retribution for a few of the more inflammatory comments last week, no doubt.
