MMMMMM, Crow Tastes Good

I owe someone an apology. And, in the grand tradition of what passes for being media savvy, rather than face her monkey to person . . . I will offer it up in this semi-public forum. Because the semi-public apology is so much more sincere when everyone sees you apologized? right? After all, if I faced her privately, she might say something that would sound less like an embracing of my apology and more like an expression of their hurt.

Last week, ESK made a comment more to herself than me "I need to remember to get a new toothbrush on the way home." I immediately assumed she couldn't remember where she'd left hers. And, apparently, she could see those words coming out of my mouth and quickly said "the battery has gone dead in mine."

I took a moment to process . . . batteries? toothbrush? And came back with "you know, they still make manual toothbrushes." Then, I was soooooooooo tickled with myself and my cleverness, I said "manual toothbrush" probably 40 more times. ESK thought it was pretty clever too because she waved at me . . . but she was really busy at the time and could only raise one finger in the wave.

Well, this weekend, I noticed that my toothbrush was a tad frayed, so I bought a new one. And, I bought one with batteries in it. And, I love it. It makes my head tingle so early in the morning. And, I feel like I'm really accomplishing something with those 15 seconds.
