The Phenom is something of a Luddite. I say "something" because while publicly claiming to disdain the interwebs, The Phenom still manages to shop pretty exclusively online and pay bills online and is well versed on my facebook page. (In fact, found my christmas gift because of a posting on my facebook page from a woman I know who makes sparkly things.)
I started taunting Phenom last week that facebook is the source of all knowledge. People communicate through facebook more than other forms of communication, now. Case in point, last week during the snow/ice storm, we learned of closings from facebook before official channels.
This week, I posted that I would be putting avocado on our salads Monday night. But, did not directly tell this to Phenom out of fear that the purchased avocado wouldn't be good and there would be disappointment. As I was fixing the veggies, Phenom looked over my work and said "did you get an avocado?" . . . thus revealing that his source of knowledge about the details of his dinner came from reading over my facebook page. Score!
On a related note, I leave my facebook page open for Phenom to read over. No communication that happens on facebook is one that needs to be hidden from Phenom. Given that 20-25% of marriages can cite inappropriate behaviors that started/were encouraged/happened on social media sites, I feel that it is important to be very transparent in my communications with other peoples. First, I always conduct myself in a way that I hope is in keeping with my values . . . but also I know from experience and observation that once you shake some one's ability to trust you, it is really difficult to rebuild faith. Just sayin'

Since you label the post "smug," I feel compelled to note that "site" can be used as a transitive verb, but I think you had "cite" in your sights...
Just sayin'... ;-)
Fixed.
