When stories on NPR about popular music or renown music producers bring a "who?" from you.
Earlier this year, I did have the teen aged son of a friend explain Lady Gaga's appeal to me. Essentially, she's the Adam Ant of this generation. I can handle that explanation.
I don't really get my knickers in a twist over "this generation" . . . there isn't much that could top the stuff going on in the Bay area in the early 70s. Clothing isn't really that scandalous . . . it just looks uncomfortable to me.
But, I think perhaps a New Year's resolution I could actually live with is to explore new music this year . . . perhaps try out some new artists . . . step outside my comfort zone a bit. That should make me younger in no time, right? Just like the green streak in my hair.
