I should have stopped after the second one

Every time we go to NOLA, Phenom spends some time gazing upon these machines. I can see the wheels spinning as visions of brightly colored drinks dance by.

So, Santa brought one to the Phenom this year. We've been making margaritas and frozen hurricanes and frozen mudslides. It is amazing. It shaves the ice really fine and then blends it . . . and you get restaurant quality frozen drinks. You just can't get that from a blender.

Here's my margarita recipe:

3 cups sugar - 3 cups water . . . heat over med. heat until syrup is clear. Cool.

In a gallon sized, freezer container mix:

2 cups lime juice
2 cups lemon juice
2 cups tequila (I like margaritaville gold or cuervo black label)
1 cup triple sec
syrup

If you have a drink maker, 1 cup of this mix will make 2 drinks. If not, freeze 24 hours and mash with the potato masher in your utensil drawer you never use.
